Andrea Tate
landscape architect + urban designer
Andrea has recently joined UDLA after graduating with a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Western Australia in 2009. During her time of study, Andrea worked as a Landscape Architect for the City of Stirling. This work involved designing a rehabilitation programme for the council’s 120 retention basins and the design and project management of parks, street medians and reserves.
Previously, Andrea worked as a horticulturist for ten years in a native plant nursery advising customers on plant selection and cultivation. As well as this Andrea ran her own garden design business with an emphasis on sustainable garden practice and has designed well over a hundred private gardens throughout Western Australia.
Andrea also has a background in land management and a degree in Visual Arts.
