Vanessa Margetts
Landscape architect + Urban Designer
Vanessa joined UDLA in February 2010. Previously, she spent a year in Copenhagen, Denmark working for Jeppe Aagaard Andersen. During this time Vanessa was involved in competition submissions, art installations and concept and documentation phases of urban projects throughout Europe and Australia.
During her studies of landscape architecture at the University of Western Australia, Vanessa was involved in several community based design projects and also worked at the University, for HASSELL and for SODAA Architects. She has also been involved in volunteer community art and building projects in Honduras, Columbia and Brazil.
Vanessa’s university honours project explored the Australian Indigenous landscape within the context of Broome which helped her gain an understanding of the notion of country and the importance of maintaining a continuous connection with the surrounding environment.
