Curtin Yarning Circle celebrated with two awards at the 2022 AILA WA Awards
We’re honoured that The Curtin University Indigenous Learning Circle (Yarning Circle) was recognised with two Landscape Architecture Awards (for Cultural Heritage and Health & Education) at the recent AILA WA 2022 Awards.
A big thank you and congratulations to our client and collaborators. The project’s design process – undertaken alongside Professor Simon Forrest (Curtin University’s former Elder-in-Residence), and Dr Noel Nannup, with early input from students from the university’s School of Architecture students – utilised Yarning Circle Protocols to create a culturally safe place for the University and wider community to meet, reflect and yarn.
